Rifle Review: Christensen Arms' CA-10 DMR

The CA-10 DMR is the flag ship firearm in Christensen’s modern sporting rifle line up, representing a pinnacle of firearms technology using machining processes that create unmatched tolerances.

Christensen Arms has been consistently at the forefront of the carbon fiber firearms industry since their conception and the have applied their extensive knowledge on carbon fiber composites to their CA-10 to create something truly exceptional.

 

As always, Christensen employed their high-grade 416R Stainless Steel and aerograde carbon fiber to create an accurate, lightweight barrel that increases barrel rigidity without the added weight of a traditional steel barrel. Unique to the CA-10 DMR, Christensen outfitted it with a proprietary titanium side baffle brake which greatly helps in reducing recoil.

As is with most AR-10 platforms, the CA-10 runs on a direct impingement gas system with a fixed gas block manufactured from 7075 aluminum billet. The truly exceptional features is in the CA-10's carbon fiber handguard which makes for comfortable handling and greatly aids in reducing the weight to a very manageable 7.8 pounds.

 

Another key feature of the CA-10 would be it's precision match-grade trigger which breaks crisply at a remarkable 3.25 pounds. Additional details include a Black Nitride finished BCG, a MagPul ACS stock, and Hogue Overmolded pistol grip.
