At the heart of the Recon Tactical is Wilson's unsurpassed match-grade, medium-weight stainless steel barrel that I have yet to see any negative reports on here at the shop. Every time we take a Recon Tactical out to the range, or any Wilson for that matter, the grouping is quite simply phenomenal compared to any other AR-15. Wilson's match grade barrel is designed for this top notch accuracy and can maintain it even in sustained high rates of fire.
When we say the Recon Tactical is the cream of the crop, no exaggerations are made. Wilson has outfitted the Recon Tactical with their Armor-Tuff finish, a Roger’s Super-Stoc buttstock, BCM Mod 1 grip, and T.R.I.M. Rail, all put together exceptionally well. It doesn't stop their, open up the Recon Tactical and you'll see Wilson's NP3 premium mil-spec bolt and bolt carrier. The NP3 designation comes from a combination of submicron particles of Teflon and electroless nickel which is used for its corrosion resistance and high lubricity. It goes without saying, that each and every part of the rile especially the action is hand expected by experienced gunsmiths.
To put simply, the Recon Tactical is the ideal, practical AR-15 for rigorous tactical training, hardcore hunting or all-purpose field applications.
