The choice of professionals worldwide, the MPX K offers an incredibly dependable and durable package utilizing a closed bolt gas piston system. SIG Sauer's MPX platform redefines the "big" pistol category with an advanced level of operator safety, in-field adaptability and proven reliability in the harshest environments.
As is with all MPX models, the K is based upon a modular design allowing for multiple handguard and barrel lengths customizations and is ready out-of-the-box for suppressor use. In addition, it's short-stroke gas piston allows the MPX K to fire all weights and brands of 9mm ammunition with no adjustments to the gas valve.
One of the MPX K's flagship features is it's SIG PCB folding brace which allows the the K to fold into an ultra-compact size and stay operable in the folded position. SIG also outfitted the MPX K with a modified M-Lok handguard which is available as accessories in multiple lengths for suppressor coverage. Capitalizing on customizations and accessories, the MPX K features a full-length picatinny rail allows for solid, consistent mounting of optics and targeting lasers.
Topping it all off, the K is equipped with the ultra smooth, ultra-fast Timney trigger. Co-designed by Timney and SIG, this trigger offers legendary Timney performance with ultimate reliability to make it survive the punishment of the "big" pistol platform.
In regard to balance, the MPX K earns it's A+. In contrast with it's predecessor the MPX Copperhead, the MPX K is easy to handle one-handed and makes for easy maneuverability in tight, closed spaces due to SIG's use of light, yet durable aluminum. Moreover, being completely ambidextrous, the MPX K is a superb choice for left- or right-handed shooters with its dual-sided selector switch, magazine release, charging handle and bolt release.
