Rifle Review: Tikka's T3x Lite Roughtech - Year-Round Pinpoint Precision

Beginning with it's flagship feature, the Roughtech stock, the rough surface texture provides a solid, tactile grip throughout the stock in all weather conditions while remaining aesthetically appealing.. The benefits of the Roughtech stock don't stop there, Tikka engineers designed the Roughtech with impeccable balance allowing for smooth mounting and quick target acquisition.
Not only that, all T3x models are outfitted with a a modular synthetic stock system that has interchangeable pistol grips, making it possible to modify the angle of the grip. Another standard feature is Tikka's new recoil pad technology which significantly reduces felt recoil when shooting.
The Roguhtech also features Tikka's new T3x receiver introducing a widened angular ejection port that makes it easier to feed one cartridge at a time. Unique to the Roughtech is it's fluted bolt and over-sized bolt handle which makes for incredibly smooth and efficient feeding.
When it comes to durability Tikka cut no corners. The Roughtech sports a metallic bolt shroud which covers and shields the rear of the bolt body and the firing pin. It also comes with a steel recoil lug which comes in handy when using larger calibers. Compared to aluminium, the steel lug doesn't have strong imprinting qualities that would cause deformation when Magnum calibers are used.
Topping it all off, Tikka outfitted the Roughtech with a fluted, blued barrel incorporating standard U.S. threading along with a muzzle cap and muzzle brake.
