Before beginning to inform you on all the outstanding features of this firearm, there are several things to remember about the Texas BBQ Special or any other Wilson Combat pistol for that matter. The Texas BBQ Special is a fully equipped pistol that is more than capable of defending its user. Not a single pistol leaves Wilson Combat’s shop without passing rigorous testing to ensure reliability, durability, and effectiveness. As a result, they guarantee a one-inch group at twenty-five yards.

Now moving on to the fun stuff, the Texas BBQ Special starts with Wilson Combat's high-grade machined stainless forged and billet parts and are hand fitted to perfect reliability and target grade accuracy. All controls have been selected for everyday carry and hard use.

While the Texas BBQ Special is outfitted with some truly exceptional mechanisms and equipment, none are as breathtaking as the special hand engravings from Master Engraver Wayne D’Angelo. D'Angelo, being one of the world’s foremost firearm engraving artists, ensured each Texas BBQ Special was properly and beautifully engraved down to the smallest detail.

Wilson outfitted the Texas BBQ Special with a 5” stainless match-grade barrel and bushing. The muzzle is flush cut with a reverse crown, and the barrel hood is fluted and as a result it reduces the effect of buildup over time.

The pistol’s sights are incredibly fast and effective, consisting of a serrated Wilson Combat Battlesight rear sight and a ramped gold-bead front sight, both trimmed to fit the slide’s contours. Running across the slide’s top between sights are 30 LPI serrations which reduced glare while shooting.

When handling the pistol it feels as though it is an extension of your own arm. It features Wilson's black cherry slant grips with sterling medallions attached with engraved Torx-head grip screws. The undercut frame raises the hand higher on the frame allowing for a more firm grip and the 30 LPI checkering grips the hand well without abrading skin. Topping it all off, we have Wilson's custom trigger breaking at a crisp 3.5 lbs. with the medium-length pad.
