The lever-action rifle; it's one of the famous classic American firearms, a tool of history and just as much a symbol of the Old West as the six-shooter.
The Marlin brand is synonymous with lever-action rifles with a heritage stretching back to the Model 1881, Marlin's first lever-action center-fire. Fast forward to the modern era, Marlin continues it's tradition with over two dozen individual centerfire and rimfire lever-action models listed on their website.
One of their most popular models being the 1895SBL.
Right out of the box, this gun is a beauty. With an elegant stainless steel-and gray-finish, the 1895SBL proves itself as an aesthetically appealing firearm.
However, the appeals do not stop there. Marlin has designed the 1895SBL to withstand the wet elements of Alaska and the North Country. All the major components, including the receiver, barrel, magazine tube, loading gate and lever, are stainless steel. The sling swivel studs are nickel-plated. The stock and forearm are of composed of impervious black-and-gray laminated wood.
The stock is well-fitted to the metal and features a matte-finished. Topping it all off with a reliable, heavy-duty recoil pad.
